XYplorer Beta Club

Hello, I've recently encountered an issue where drag and drop into XYplorer no longer works.

Whether I try to drag files from Windows Explorer or programs like Faststone Image Viewer, dropping files into XYplorer is not possible. This used to work without any problems before. What can I try to fix this?

Draging out of XYplorer works fine.

One possible explanation is that you are running XY as administrator. Windows does not allow drag-and-drop from user to administrator.

As far as I know, I start XY as a normal user. Directly Opend XYplorer.exe with Enter-Key ('open' not 'open as admin').

Unfortunately this does not help. As soon as I want to drag a file into XY, the icon changes to a “ forbidden sign”.

Is there a way to verify that XY is not running as admin? Just to be on the safe side.

The details tab in the task manager can display the column "Elevated"

OK, that was it.

XY was being launched through a shortcut file where 'run as administrator' was checked. I removed that check and now drag and drop works again.

I launch XW as admin but in Task Manager don't see "Elevated" associated with it under Processes or Details. Is that because my login has Admin privileges?

I am experiencing the same problem without having any administrator privilleges. I can drag and drop to desktop and to opened folder in other pane but not on a tab in xyplorer. I cannot even drag and drop using right mouse options.

Maybe you enabled Tools | Customize List | Manual Sorting?

The issue started after updating to the latest beta version (28.10.502)
