Hi
My touch pad is configured in windows to emulate a mouse middle-click.
It works fine in windows, but not in XY.
Is there a setting I'm missing ?

There are no special settings. XY shouldn't even notice that the click is coming from a touchpad

Well... that's what I thought, but it's a fact !
I just checked again just in case.
3 fingers tap is configured to emulate a middle-click » it works fine in my browser or in excel, not in XY
2 fingers tap is for right-click » works fine everywhere

I believe you but can't help.

I just plugged an USB mouse and middle-click works just fine.
Has anybody out there met the same situation ?
Is there a workaround ?

I've found something... when XY is started as user, it works !
Problem is when XY is started as admin (all the time).
Does it help ?

Now... Start your Browser / Excel as Admin. And?

I did what you suggested and... indeed (of course) I lose the 3 fingers tap (except in my browsers that are portable and "may" be force started as user).
So this is a windows behavior : is there a way around it (without starting XY as user ) ?

Try other drivers for your touchpad?

I've just tried with updated drivers, just in case... same.
Now that you helped me pinpoint the cause, I'll try to dig some more.

I've been using Clavier+ for many years very rarely have had a problem . It makes use of keyboard shortcuts which can be linked to your individual programs. https://gryder.org/software/clavier-plus/?lang=en can also be elevated if a problem.

@Mazot Thank you for you suggestion, I'll have a look.
But I want to avoid using shortcut keys : I'd like to use XY the same way on my desktop and laptop computers (fingers memory ).
But you gave me an idea : maybe AHK could be of help...

I haven't had time for extensive testing, but it seems remapping 3 fingers-tap to middle-click with AHK does the trick.
