new menu command: "shortcut to..."

Hallo,

TrackerV has commands "Copy to...", "Move to..." and "Backup to...". Don't you think that you might compete this section whith a new usefull command "Shortcut to..." on the same basis?

Another wish about shortcuts. Windows creates a shortcut for the file AAA.letter.doc in the format:
shortcut to AAA.letter.lnk.
Coud it be possible to cofigurate shortcuts format in TrackerV settings? I mean that I prefer another shortcuts format:
AAA.letter.doc.lnk.

Hmm, I don't get it. What operation do you want to happen?

This is exactly what happens under my XP! I think you can TweakUI the shortcut file name format...

I mean the same logic as with "Copy to...", "Move to..." etc. commands. Namely to create a shortcut to the current file and to put this shortcut into the folder wich is assigned via "Browse..." dialog.
Copy to: creates in the assigned folder a new copy of the current file and leaves the original file;
Move to: creates in the assigned folder a new copy of the current file and erases the original file;
Shortcut to: creates in the assigned folder a new link for the current file and leaves the original file;

Ok, obvious :oops:

But is it worth the pain? Any other opinions out there...?

Whose pain?
Sounds logical and helpful to me.
Just the name might be misleading since you actually don't want to create a "Shortcut to..." but rather "Create shortcut in..."

Mine, of course! :lol:

"Create shortcut in..." ... of course, that's what has confused me at first.

I put it on my list.

Surely! I had written in the beginning "Send shortcut to...", then I've replaced the first word, but have forgotten the last. :oops:
