That's just a question for clarification:

It says you get no updates… does it mean no major updates or no minor versions or even no bugfixes?

i.e. let's say I get a Rookie License now [26.30.0400]:

Can/can't I download and use:

• Betas of the same development version [26.30.04??]?
• Updates of the same minor version [26.30.????]?
• Updates of the same main version [26.??.????]?

Just if I want to recommend it to other people who might be interested to try…
