I am a new user of xyplorer(XYplorer 26.30.0100), And I have three big issues in this File explorer software. if anyone can help me figure out and fix these three issues, I will be very thankful, otherwise I will have to revert back to Windows File Explorer. I have tried my level best to fix these issues myself and only after that I have posted.

Issue number 1=
Unable to Change TO Light theme from the dark theme permanently[/u]. I keep selecting the light theme, but after restart of xy plorer, it again changes to dark mode Automatically. Even after I save the settings.

Issue number 2= I cannot select multiple files with control plus mouse left key. When I try to select multiple files with mouse left key +control key pressed, it keeps opening every single selected file..

Opening files and folders with single mouse left click is a must(Using of a file explorer software totally depends on this feature whether I can select multiple files with mouse left click + preferably control key.) for me. I have never Preferred mouse double click to open files and folders.
Issue in XYplorer is that? I cannot select multiple files with control plus mouse left key.


MY SETTINGS R LIKE THIS--> SettingS---> general----> menu mouse usability--->MOUSE-->
Single-click to open an item---> YES
On the icon only NO
Folders only NO
Point to select NO
To the icon only NO
Full name column select NO
Allow dragging from a background window YES
Use Ctrl+mouse uheel to scroll through the list views YES

Issue number 3= I want selection checkbox to always stay in the left and right pane. But after the restart of the application, the. selection check box disappear automatically even I save folder view settings as ""define This folder view as default."" Even after that, it keeps disabling the checkboxes.

#1. Make sure your Configuration > Startup & Exit has "Adjust to OS Light / Dark at startup" is not checked.
#2. It does appear that your setting for Open files with one click does override the standard multiple selection feature using control. Though there may be another setting affecting it. Don may have to look at that. It hasn't affected me since I have open files single click, on "Icon only".
#3. Check your Styles settings in Configuration. Remember list settings per tab. Apply to... List style (line numbers...). Possibly that may have an effect.

#1 the first problem has been resolved

#2 but second problem is not fixed, i still cant open files with single click + =CONTROL+MOUSELEFT SELECTION= not working.
#3 third option of showing check boxes in both panEs after quitting the program and restarting are not working.

Or maybe I am not understanding what you are trying to explain in the 3rd Point.. #4 when I select any file or folder and right click for renamIng purpose. There is no option to rename the file or folder in context menu, how to add that, any suggestion?

#1. I'm glad you got one solved.

#2 & #3. I think Don will have to look at those especially #2 when single click is set to open files, you can't multiple selected using control.

#4. It appears you have the "Show the 64 bit context menu" selected in Configuration > Shell integration. Rename is in the context menu when using the standard 32- bit menu. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be present in the 64-bit menu. It would seem like "rename" should be present regardless of the menu type selected.

#5 Could u also direct me towards a better dark theme than default, Where ui text could be read more easily,

#6 and complete settings backup/import/export? I don't want to do all the settings and configurations again. Right now I am making a backup of the following directory{ C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer }. Is it the right way to make the backup of all configurations?

#7 Can I set my favorite folders at the bottom side Of rapid access or below this PC,, just like in windows file explorer.

#5. No, but you can certainly play with the dark mode settings in Configuration and maybe you'll achieve what you want. #6. Look at the menu File > Settings Special for backup, restore, and save options.
#7. No. but you can set up Links in the tree which can do the same thing.

7# how to sort these links in left side panel like the order which folder link comes first, 2nd, 3rd etc? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#8 APP PINNING IS NOT WORKING SO FAR, Also tried with administrative mode. Still, xyplorer does not pin the app shortcuts to the start menu.

I cannot select multiple files with control plus mouse left key. [with Single-click to open an item enabled]
