1) Can you group by date like File Explorer does (in screenshot)?
2) Is there a way to click anywhere in a line to select the whole line, instead of only being able to click on the title (in screenshot)?
3) How do I show and use checkboxes when I select things (in screenshot)?

Re: Selection
1) i am sure there is no such function yet... you can archieve this via scripting :
- sort by date
- create dummy files (yesterday , today , weekago etc)
- via timestamp function set the the timestamps of those dummy files accordingly
- now your list is visually "separarated"
- to kinda simulate the expand collapse , you could use a filter functionality
3) there is certainly a setting for that
