K-LITE CODEC is installed.
The general preview(ctrl+f11) plays well no matter what the extension is

In the floating preview, only the AVI file is played button appears.

If you change the extension of the .*MP4 file to AVI, which was not played as a floating preview, it plays in the floating preview.

How do I solve this?

Also, isn't there a shortcut to the play button in the floating preview? Can't I make it play automatically if I open it in the floating preview?

I have the K-Lite Standard version 18.4.5 package installed.
There is no problem to preview any type of video files
in the preview window or the floating preview.
In my case, there is no automatic play in both modes,
I have to press the Play button.
This is the same behavior as in Windows Explorer.
I guess this is related to the player, which is MPC-HC.

They are part of the LAV filters which are part of the K-Lite package
and explained in the link above.
What version of K-Lite do you run ?

I'm using the 18.4.5 mega version
