Avoid similar Tags...

I find myself often with many very similar Tags when only one is intended and necessary.
As an example, I might have 'Keys', 'keys', 'Keyboard', 'keyboards',...

This is due to just having a need for so many different Tags that I can't always remember what I've used previously.
So I was thinking of an auto-complete feature when creating a Tag that for starters would not be case-sensitive so it could in fact eliminate the occurrence of two Tags like 'Keys' & 'keys'. Then any normal auto-complete based on the existing Tag user library should do the job.

As a side note, a keyboard shortcut to close the Tag creation window would be nice too!

Why don't you use tag lists?
Tag creation window
Which window is that (and it doesn't close via Escape)?

I could and I do occasionally to avoid the issue just described and that works fine when I have a doubt about a possibly previously used Tag and how I might have worded it.
The problem is when the I search the list and the Tag actually doesn't exist yet, then AFAIK, there is no way to create one from that window. So you have to exit it and open the 'Add Tags...' window instead.
Admittedly, this isn't a big issue and should definitely be bottom of the list of new features or fixes but I just thought I would mention it.

The 'Add Tags...' window. Clicking the Esc key will exit without saving the Tag.

No, of course not. You just offered a keyboard shortcut which is what I was asking for. I of course was not aware of that shortcut or else...why would I be asking for one here.
