Colum view

I can't believe no one is requesting the famous "Colum View" as in MacOS finder. Just a year ago it was really hard to find this view on Windows, however today it is included in most file explorers, be it paid, as in OneCommander, DirectoryOpus etc., or free alternatives like Files, EasyFile etc. So today it has become a must for any modern file explorer. Herewith I am requesting this functionality for XYPlorer too. Greetings

Please post a screenshot of this view. I'm having trouble visualizing what it is/does.

Right, right… I guess a childish intent to be funny, which works more comforting, than to face the truth of a world beyond repair, well on its way to a total decay.
Miller columns

I know Miller columns had been requested already in the past. I remember, Don has rejected this wish once (but can't find the thread anymore).
I don't like them. Until early 2000 I was on MacOS at the University for a decade and after a very long break I'm back on MacOS since last year. I still don't like them (I still don't like the default UI-based file management on MacOS. Imho, it's even worse than on Windows).
Why?
1. In my daily file management duties I don't need to see every content of every path component at a glance. Usually I'm for the last/terminal one.
2. Once I should feel a need to do so I use the breadcrumbs to quickly navigate them sequentially.
3. Too much columns conflict with helpful information (column squeeze).
But I'm not Don.

The implementation in OneCommander is brilliant and the one in Files, with a fixed width is very practical. Now that I think of it all implementations on Windows are superior to MacOS's one. I have been using Mac's at work for decades, since MacOs 7 if I remember correctly. When Miller Columns came to OS 10, I instantly liked them. After the initial implementation Apple never cared to perform any improvements, since that is way off of their money greedy business model. As a result bugs like the incapacity for columns to adapt to longer file names most likely remain to date. In any event I personally find column views extremely practical and it is a pitty not to have them as an option in any file explorer, including the one built in into Windows, where we hit again the subject of business models and the issue of usability and practical design becomes void.

Miller columns
I get the Miller Columns as the answer to my question, but what the hell does the rest of it have to do with my question?

In this case you are.
