I see if there is space on top, the address bar dropdown would show on top (which I don't want - they go to another screen). Can I force the dropdown always drop down instead of up?

Sure: The task bar is on top of the screen 1, while the content above the task bar is on the screen 4.

The dropdown goes where it finds the most space. Isn't that what it does in your case, and if yes, why don't you like it?

No, it was like this: The dropdown would go up if there was not enough space down. This was improved in v25.90.0134: Now it only goes up if there is enough space upwards. This may solve your problem.

I assume the logic is that it shouldn't go up as it's another screen (though there is space there - but there are other programs there, and in real it's not aligned as perfectly as shown in the screenshot because of the physical positions of the screens). The "enough space" calculation should be limited inside one single screen.

And currently there is enough space down, so I don't know why it chose to go up..

yes, I tested with the portable version - with my existing config and with default config, the drop down still goes up.

Okay, the next beta should fix it.

just tried beta version v25.90.0160 - 2024-05-20 21:32, seems this issue hasn't been fixed yet.

Good news! I just tried 26.40 and noticed that the first character entered makes it drop down, just as expected.

Though the 2nd character and thereafter behaves as before. Hope this is going to be an easy fix
