File search uncomplite

I have searched for a name in all comment fields of all folders of one tree. The tree contains one folder with many hits. I knew that but also wanted to find all other occurances of that name in the rest of the comment fields. I was very surprised to get all the various occurences of the name in the comment field of several folders within that tree except for the folder with 90% of all expected hits. How can XYplorer miss the most impotant files?
Can somebody please send me a scan of a correctly formulated search? The only relevant search data are: cmt:John Doe; F:/Private/Videos. Whatever has to be checked or not checked of the many parameter/filter boxes are of no particular interest because I usually don't need filters or other check boxes. Mail please to donpascual@aol.com.
Thank you for your support :D

comment fields ... are you talking about the shell comment or XYplorer's comment?

Show a screenshot of the complete situation: The complete XYplorer window showing the Comment column with the contents you are searching and the search interface you are using (with the search term).

Hi there,
Yesterday, I read the complete help file on searching, included searching in the comment column :veryconfused: :-((. Simply aw(ful)..e inspriring! Well, I tried virtually every thing, but got always zero hits  . But one strike at last  !!
Using the name&location tab after choosing the appropriate location, it should have been working when entering cmt:john;Doe (the Bolean rule) into the name&location field. But it did not return anything. To cut a long story of trial and error short. Here is the working method: 1. Choose the appropriate location(tree). 2. Check the tag box and check Comment box. 3. Make two searches: one for John, a second one for Doe. In fact I used much rarer names :-)) and got 38 first and 36 second hits which is OK because there were a few hits with the first name in the comment field only.
I did not find any Boolean operation that returned any hits. It would be interesting to learn how to formulate such a search with two words together as a free text search.

I love XYplorer and use it daily. Incidently, I used "Dupes" for the first time on exactly the tree in question, and got 1300 duplicates. Most of them are in different folders, and I must find a way to decide which one to delete. It would be a nice feature to get an image when clicking on a duplicate. That would make it easier to make a decision which one to delete.

Thank you for your help.
