How to get "New file" items on the context menu?

In Windows Explorer, right clicking in various places in the list area brings up a context menu which includes a submenu for creating New files of various types, including Zip file, MS Office documents (Word, Excel, Access, Visio) and various others.
How do I get that same functionality in XYplorer?
Also, in a similar vein, in Windows Explorer, on the context menu there's an item "Open in Terminal" (ie: Open Command Line Terminal, with current directory set to this directory). I'd like that item too in XYplorer.

For the first wish you might want to read up on "New Items" in the help file, for the second one just add the toolbar button "Command Prompt" to your toolbar to achieve this.

@RalphM -- thanks for your suggestions!

That did get me started. However the process described is a bit tedious.
So instead I first entered <xydata> into XYplorer's address bar, so I could learn what directory that corresponds to. Then in Windows Explorer I navigated to the <xydata>\NewItems directory.
There, using Explorer's context > New menu, I simply created the new items I wanted right in <xydata>\NewItems. That was quick and easy, and allowed me to select which items from Explorer I wanted to also have in XYplorer.

Yes, that does the job! Thanks.

You might not have discovered yet the advantages of XY's "New Items".
You can not only have one blank Excel worksheet there but various different templates with identifying names to choose from.
It even allows you to have folder structures sitting there (with or without files in it) which can then be re-created in another folder with a few mouse clicks. None of these features are in WE as far as I know.

Yes, I can already see how this has a lot of uses.
