How to view .ico files

I can't view .ico files, have I missed a setting for this? Is there a reason for not showing them? Windows Explorer shows these files so I'm wondering why XY doesn't show their content. Is there some way of seeing these files when hovering the icons in Display view setting?
Btw, this isn't a recent issue, XY has never shown .ico file content for me.
XY - Latest Beta
OS - Win11

Btw, this has nothing to do with file associations, this is about the Mouse Hover and View settings. Icon files are shown with a generic icon specified by the CFI dialogue in XY. But hovering an icon should show the icon graphic, just like when hovering a png or jpeg file.

I have been researching trying to find the cause and/or solution, but the threads I've found here about it don't seem to cover this issue.

Any idea what the problem is?

Thanks for your reply.
That's strange. I just came across the 'fresh;' script command via the forum and that shows the icon graphics in list view. But that is probably due to my XY config having Custom File Icons set for *.ico files. This I can understand, but the Hover is where I am lost!

I just removed the CFI for icon files and now hover works. Why doesn't it work the way it does with all other graphic files? eg, PNG and JPEG files also have CFI set and are showing the graphic when hovered. Shouldn't icon files work the same way?

Show your CFI definition for ICO.

OK, I saw it now. Indeed a bug! :bug: Fix comes.
