Empty Folder Colors - Possible Bug

Using 24.40 on Win10.

Following klownboy's suggestion here: viewtopic.php?p=210562#p210562 I'm seeing the folder name disappear when configuring the background color. Or when the XY windows goes to the background. When I bring XY to the foreground the folder name still doesn't show. Once I left-click the "empty" field it reappears. Clicking anywhere else in the XY window does not bring it back. I deleted the folder, closed XY, restarted XY, recreated the folder, and the issue continues. The issue only seems to be with this folder. Empty folders on this partition or any other partition do not exhibit this behavior.

I'm truly not sure if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong. But this certainly isn't the expected behavior.

Suggestions?

There are so many variables here. I would be easier if you just isolate the issue yourself. That the name totally disappears is crass. That it happens with one folder only is weird, but also a strong hint. Unleash your inner Sherlock Holmes!

While I don't mind putting on my Holmes hat, lighting my pipe, and doing a little digging, I really had no idea where to start looking. So I did what everyone should do when confronted with odd PC behavior - I rebooted my PC. And that seems to have fixed the problem. It does strike me as odd that a reboot would fix this behavior, but at least for the time being, it's resolved.

Should it come back, I'll ask for a pointer or two to get me looking in the right direction.

Thanks.
