Which is better English in the tooltip?

Opened with: Notepad
Opens with: Notepad

I'm no English major, but I'd say Opens, Opened sounds like it is past tense.

Both those options sound strange, "open in" or "open with" is what I'd go with.

Definitely not "opened..." As jupe said, "opened" is past tense.

I checked with my boss, errr ... my wife who is a copy editor, and she declared "opens in..." or "opens with..." to be correct.

The "with" is used all over Windows, so I will stick with "opens with". :tup:
