Is it possible to display the preview of a PDF or an image larger in the hover box? It is very small in the moment to see something.

Press Numpad Add key while the Hover Box is showing.

JPG works great.
Unfortunately, I can only change the size of a PDF from 100x100 to 260x260.
It's too small for me. Is there any bigger way?

Here in Dual pane mode I can increase it to almost fill the whole pane.
May be its depend on the installed PDF preview handler.
I have PDF-XChange

You may try to install the PDF-XChange Viewer (Editor)

Then use the following tool to make it the pdf preview handler

Remove the Adobe from the .pdf and assign the PDF-XChange to it.

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my last post.
The links in your post work okay but on the webpage that opens with the second one I cannot download the tool because these links seem broken.
