Is there an equivalent to "filmstrip" view?

Is there a view that is equivalent to Window Explorer's "filmstrip"?
Also, in "filmstrip" you can reorient photos. Is there a way to reorient thumbnails?

No equivalent to "filmstrip" no, and XY isn't an image editing software, it does have a preview feature and a thumbnail view, for those are only that : viewing features.
To edit your pictures (like rotate) you'll need another tool.
