Could someone please let me know how to open files/folders with XYplorer with a single click (in lieu of double clicking). Thank you.

Hummm...I don't remember that being an option in XY, but then again, I don't use everything either!...so did a search on this forum, and found this quite old thread:

Not sure if any more recent info is available...I'm sure you'll get a reply from Don within next day with the most accurate info...and/or from our resident wiki-master, jacky.

Thanks for your input. I hope Don provides 'single click', at least as an option.

I'm glad I'm not the only "freak" out there that likes single-click!

Lets have polls for single click thing:
1. Yes
2. No
3. Optional
I choose 3 (but by deafault it should be off). Would like to know from Don if this feature would make XY slower.

No.
But how would you select a file for preview in a single click mode?

hmmm good point. I can think of ctrl+click or something similar.
But thinking about the "real" use of it, I wondering about the instances where single click would be more efficient than double-click.
Urls, word documents, images, folders and surely NOT exes (would be annoying).
What would be more cooler is to have only specific formats single clickable and other (like exes) not. This is something I havent seen in other file managers.

I've not used single-click, but as I read it, to select a file, you just hover over it for a bit, so wouldn't that then select the file for preview?

Aha. This makes it even more unthrilling to me.
I programmed my middle mouse button to be a dblclick -- and that's it for me. I recommend it!

That is exactly how I have mine set up.
