"New" command in list view context menu

Hi All,

A right click in an empty part of the list view pops up a context menu with lots of options. One of them is "NEW". The only options provided are:

- New folder with 3 possible default names or
- New textfile with similar default names.

My standard Windows context menu "NEW" command (on desktop, in Explorer, etc.) offers 10 or 12 different common (for me at least) file types (word, excel, ppt, winamp, etc).

Can this be done in XY? :?:

In my XY context menu I have the command "NEW ITEMS", but it's disabled. Why? Is this where that would happen if it were going to?

Thanks for your help :)

You can add anything in the "NewItems" folder which is in your XYplorer application folder (for eg. C:\Program Files\XYplorer\NewItems\) and it will show up in the right-click context menu. Neat heh! 8)

That's not just neat, that's the cat's pajamas!

Once again, I didn't look deep enough into the Wiki before asking  - but I did look, really I did.

Thanks so much for your help.

The mind boggles as one discovers all the possibilities!

And you'll find out, it does way more than the "new" menu of Windows.

I especially like the ability to set up whole (empty) folder structures in the new items folder and then create them with a single click - a real timesaver for me.
