You're welcome! That's why that other thread (how to tweak) was created because too many folks were getting confused by the process...armsys wrote:Thanks for your guidance. Sorry, I'm a rookie in tweaking XY.j_c_hallgren wrote:You NEVER add the base tweak line - it gets generated when you update to the vers that it was added in and then save your settings as it says in that post, ok?

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

By interpolation and supposition based on the my existing xyplorer.ini, is it TRUE that TAFNoRepeatCharCycle=1 can be inserted anywhere?
I'm surprised that my original unedited xyplorer.ini already contains numerous tweaks.
All Don's tweaks (I presume) appear to be placed randomly in the xyplorer.ini.

Not sure where Don put it -but- as i said, we as users NEVER insert a tweak line into INI! All we do is set desired value for the key AFTER it gets added by updating to beta/official vers that implemented it!armsys wrote:By interpolation and supposition based on the my existing xyplorer.ini, is it TRUE that TAFNoRepeatCharCycle=1 can be inserted anywhere?
Yes, there are many many many of them! We've lost count of how many.I'm surprised that my original unedited xyplorer.ini already contains numerous tweaks.
There's a method to the madness but we aren't privy to what that method is of Don's -and- we don't care - as long as we can locate the key and use it, ok?All Don's tweaks (I presume) appear to be placed randomly in the xyplorer.ini.

Next beta:
Works for "11" as well
Code: Select all
+ Configuration | Find and Filter | Filters & Type Ahead Find | Type Ahead Find: Added
option "Allow repeated characters". Tick it to allow jumping to "33" after pressing
"3" two times.
