No reaction???
I think the CFI solution is very cool (my God, I even use it myself)!

Wow, dope! I really need to keep on track with the betas more. Works perfectly.

In the Tools / Configuration under Colors and Styles / Color Filters ... add...
Code: Select all
B:prop:#empty:2|pf //s-shape, w-wide, f-frame,b-2pixels
check the tick box to turn it on and "Define" the text and background colours to personal taste - and job done!
That was my solution earlier, though my way to go about it is slightly different so in case it would help:

What I started doing instead is adjusting and enabling the Color Filter for empty folders. Actually, for I like to recognize empty files too, I set
size:0 to a gray name, checking
Configuration... > General: Trees and List > Always show folder sizes for folder sizes to be considered. It's not instant but decently quick, so now I recognize empty folder structures that way. Could be used alongside Windows' folder thumbnails as well.
The thumbnails were definitely preferred, and CFI is definitely the solution.

The second wish is well over the top. Forget it.
Just checking...

Latest beta (24.40.0209) has a few problems.
I compared it to version 24.30.0100.
128x128
128x128 file & folder icons are now bigger compared to 24.30.0100. Personally I want them smaller compared to thumbnails of images & videos.
I circled red in the GIF, in v24.40.0209, folder icon in tab bar is invisible and icon in location bar become a file icon.
128 before after.gif
256x256
256 before after.gif

I agree they should be smaller. Next beta should be better.
But I cannot reproduce those white breadcrumb / empty tab header icons. What's going on there?

Yeah I couldn't reproduce as well but I will report here if I see it again. (I have ThumbsShell=1)

I have no idea how to find the file path for the original folder icon(s). Apparently, they're embedded in a system file called shell32.dll.mun now?

Code: Select all
sysicons "%winsysdir%\shell32.dll", 0, "e"; //32 x 32
Here it looks like they could be number 4 or 5.
