Surprising. Contrary to the screenshots of other users, this one looks 100% okay. All icons are found, and even Windows 11 is called just "Windows 11", not "Windows 11 Windows10".
Is this also an "insider release" of Windows 11?

Notepad or any other tools for *.txt files don't have such an icon
Btw. from what source gets XY the description "Windows 11 Windows 10" for my System ?
No other tools show this strange info.
My system was installed with Windows 10 and then upgraded to Windows 11.
The correct version info is shown on all Windows places and any tool I tried.

It's the standard TXT icon in Windows.
"Windows 11 Windows 10" is my fault. Fixed in next beta.

Windows 11 Pro Insider - Beta channel.
I believe the user that had both the Folder & File icons fixed is in the Dev channel according to his higher version number (25188.1000 vs 22622.586 in my PC)
Maybe it's something affecting to Insider versions and the fix has not yet arrived to Beta.

I won't do anything here now. Their fix will come.

Well, take into account that it could be months until the current Dev Windows version arrives to the Beta channel.
And the Beta channel received an update just today, and the bug with the File icons is there.
Besides, this bug is happening exclusively in XYxplorer, in Windows Explorer all icons are displaying correctly.
Anyway, if you think of anything I could try to solve this issue, please inform.
Thanks.

As said, File icons are missing, Folder icons are OK.
Is this also true for v23.50.0203?
I hope all is fixed in v23.50.0205.

Well you obviously did a forum search before posting, thanks, but what about reading the post you just replied to? Download the latest beta for the fix.

Hi Everyone
I'm on XYplorer: 23.70.0200 (Pro Edition - Lifetime License Pro)
OS: Windows 10, 64-bit, Version 22H2, Build 19045.2130 (10.0), .NET v4.8.04084
getting blank icons on any file/folder that matches a Custom File Icon Association.
When disabled, icons comes back.
Tested fresh portable instances, same problem.

Obviously at least some icons don't even exist (>ico)
Apart from that, was it working before. If yes, on which XY version? Before the update to 22H2?

Hi Highend, thanks for fast reply.
Yes, they exist.. but are showing all blank on the custom file association dialog, as screenshot below.
I'm coming from a fresh install 3 days ago with the 1809 version, and yesterday got the 22H2 , when this bug presented.
As you can see, thumbnails does work, but the .ICO files dont.
since 2 october using the 23.7.0200 with no issues, the time association was with this windows update.
