Well, I really wanted to fix this, so I bought Office 365, latest version, installed it, configured it, and ...: It works well! No such issue. No issue at all. Everything perfect.

Note that I installed the 32-bit version (which is also recommended by MS), so the problem *might* be connected to the 64-bit version you are using.

Wow, I appreciate it very much!
But how come the problem appeared only with your version 19.90 and previously worked well? maybe something that you've updated between the versions?
Aren't there any other XY users complaining about the same issue?
I even don't know if and how to migrate to 32bit Office...
Thanks for now,

I changed many many things from 19.80 to 19.90.

In the next beta I will try to track the flow of your drop. You should see something like this in the Debug Log after dropping:

Code: Select all

2019-04-11 17:55:03.900 >> MailDrop 1: Testing the MSG drop.msg
2019-04-11 17:55:03.900 >> MailDrop 2: Testing the MSG drop.msg, IsFolder: Falsch
To show the Debug Log paste dlog; into the address bar and press ENTER.

I tried the new version 19.90.0002 but same issue appears...

I found where the problem exists - and why you could not experience it -

When the subject of the message is in English - no problem, drops OK.
But when it is in Hebrew letters - then it fails and creates the R subd.

1. Can you still show me the debug log (if there is any), please.

2. Can you send me such a Hebrew email to support@xyplorer.com, thanks!

PS: In the meantime I could reproduce your issue where a deep path was created in the target. But didn't you see that prompt along the way? And didn't you say "Yes" to it?

I have sent you a sample Hebrew message as well as the debug log.
I have never seen such a prompt notice...

Good! It was a general bug affecting probably all emails with Unicode in the subject. Guess I have to upload an official hotfix 19.90.0100 later today...

BTW please pat attention to an older bug, again connected to our weird alphabeth -
when I drop a message from the inbox containing Hebrew leters, then it makes a mishmash of the name given by XY...
shall I send you a sample?
