What kind of column is that? Talk about it. Tell me everything you know about that column.

Go to "Configuration | Information | Custom Columns"
Double click on that "mots-clés" column
In the new window right-click on the "Clear" button in the lower left corner, choose "Copy as Snippet"
Post it (the text is in the clipboard)...

I am sorry but it's quite strange. First of all I switched back to English in order to be sure that we talk about the same things but nevertheless I still have a mix of English & French in the menu displayed by right clicking on file/folder name. Then when adding a column and selecting Property by right clicking on column's header I get a list of properties name in French and at row 18 I can select "Mots clés", but when I try to do what you are asking there is no "Mots clés" displayed.
In order to go back to a full original version do have I do fully uninstall XYPlorer (with Revo uninstaller) and re-install it?

No need to reinstall. Just right-click the column header and remove that column. That should fix your issues.

Hello
I reset the columns to factory default and I switched back to French and I got the attached message and switch not done but a new click on Select langage switch to French without the message. I did again the tests from folders containing 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5574 mp4 & jpg files. All seems OK and much quicker ... but continuing the tests when writing this answer the crash comes back even on the 500 files folder!!!! And now I have difficulties to launch it I must click a lot of time on the task bar icons to get XYPlorer launched ... and now it works. It's becomming very annoying. I am wondering if I have not lost money in investing in XYPlorer!!!!
In order to be positive I will fully remove XYPlorer, re-install it and stay in English and continue the tests. I will come back in some days with the results.

Relax and try to concentrate. XYplorer is one of the world's top file managers. It can handle millions of files with ease. Rest assured that you're getting your money's worth.

You say "I reset the columns to factory default". How did you do that? Not the way I told you to do?

For the time being I fully remove XYPlorer with Revo Uninstaller and re-install it from the download from XYPlorer.com (and connecting my license) and starts the test staying in English. The display of the 5574 files folder of mp4 & jpg was immediate!!!! It has never be the case before. I am wondering if this is not linked to an initial 32 bits installation when I tested it for the 1st time before purchasing it and installing the 64 bits version.

No, it has nothing to do with the language, nor with the number of files, nor with the bitness of XY. I'm pretty sure a particular malformed MP4 file caused the crash in the shell extension that was called by the mots-clés column. If you are familiar with binary search, you (and only you) can easily isolate the culprit if you're still interested in solving the problem.

I am not sure because removing the "mot clés' column didn't change the behavior before doing a full uninstall and re-install. Nevertheless I will continue with this fresh installation to test by adding (always in English) the keyword columns to see and after switch to French and continue tests. Thanks for your help. I will keep you informed.
