No idea why this happens, but that all of this happens shortly (< 1 sec) after "fully loaded" makes it easy to block.

But you mentioned other hangs. Are they still happening with v27.20.0004? If yes, are they also influenced by SHChangeNotifyExcludeNetwork?

I haven't had enough experience to say definitively yet. More of a feeling at this point, but my impression is that it seems to still happen with SHChangeNotifyExcludeNetwork off, and does not happen with SHChangeNotifyExcludeNetwork on. The couple of hangs I have noticed have been brief though (like 1 second), not multiple seconds like before... always makes me wonder if I'm just mis-clicking. I'll leave the flag off for now for awhile and see if I notice it.

Okay. The next beta should make your startups fast again (even without that flag).

I didn't use my computer much this weekend so I still can't comment on the delay when accessing files, but I just installed the newest beta and indeed startups are fast again even without the flag.

Just wanted to take a moment to say thanks for your help, Don - I try not to reach out for help much, but I'm always impressed at how responsive you are on this forum and in fixing any issues. I feel crippled whenever I have to use a computer without XYplorer; it's like an old friend (who keeps getting better with age). And it was hands down one of the best software purchases I've ever made. So thank you!
