(I did not see it at first because it only happens when the folder is already selected, right?)
It seems that yes. Didn't even notice the connection, but now that I checked, I think yes.

I mean that, if you choose to implement new or improve existing features, you mostly do it very quickly, as in this case.
This has, as almost everything in life, both benefits but also disadvantages.

The benefit obviously is that the new feature is generally available sooner than later.
But the disadvantage is that you often implement it only 2/3 of the way and don't take the time to maximize the user experience.
Of course, you are by no means an exception in doing so. Most software development works like that - yet not merely as fast as you.

Still, I see this method as bitter-sweet. I would rather like for everyone to work like NASA does. Slowly, but thoroughly.
But for sure it is better this way than no development at all.
Thank you for sharing your theory about my way of working. But it is wrong. :)

You are welcome. Well, it is just the impression I get on the user's end. No harm intended.

v24.40.0001 - 2023-05-11 19:16
...
! Configuration | General | Menus, Mouse, Usability | Mouse | Folders only: If the
single-clicked folder was already selected, some pre-slow-double-click-rename stuff
would be done unnecessarily, wasting time. Fixed.
Thx for the fix. It works much smoother now.
