I run the Everything Toolbar in the Taskbar and configured its results handling
I just enter something in the Toolbar and hit return on one of the results to start XY with it.
There are the full Everything functions and features available in this place which can't be beat by XY.
What can be shorter or easier if this would be internal to XY ?

After playing around with it for a little while, I was able to answer my own question. I hope this might be helpful to somebody.

I enabled "Auto-Complete Path Names" in the configuration (Configuration > General > Controls & More) with the filter set to "Folders Only".

Once this is done, the focus can be set to the address bar with Alt+D and then you simply begin typing the folder you want to jump to.

I've been using XYPlorer for a long time but never realized the address bar could be used in this way. I've relied on the catalog, tabsets, and other features so much that I never explored the functionality of the address bar...

Just curious as to your preferred method of finding folders quickly.

Scenario:

1. You have hundreds (or thousands) of folders in a situation where you use XYplorer.

2. You want to very quickly jump to a folder you know the name of, or at least a part of its name.

3. You have so many discrete locations to find on a regular basis that you don't want to Catalog or Favorite them, because
(a) there would be too many items to manage, and
(b) you don't visit any one of them frequently enough to warrant it.

What method do you use/recommend in this case to jump to a folder quickly without having to manually scroll through the tree or drill down the folders in panes?

P.S. Aside from the Quick Jump suggestion, another nice option might be a search bar for the Tree.

Entering a search would suspend the Tree hierarchy view, and create a list in the tree area which would be a reduced set of folders

not listed hierarchically

which match the search.

If the user double-clicks an item in the list,

the folder is selected,

the Tree hierarchy returns,

and the folder is shown in the normal hierarchy.

My way is to start my Everything.xys script (via keyboard shortcut, type: d: <folder name> and get a list of all locations where it exists...
