Lets say I have the following:
C:\
C:\A\
C:\A\1\
C:\A\2\
C:\A\1\fileI.ext
C:\A\2\fileII.ext
C:\A\2\fileIII.ext
C:\COPY\
and that furthermore I have performed a Find within C:\A\ which returns:
fileI.ext
fileII.ext
How would I go about copying my search results to C:\COPY\ while preserving subfolder structure of the files being copied?
The end-result should look like this:
C:\
C:\A\
C:\A\1\
C:\A\2\
C:\A\1\fileI.ext
C:\A\2\fileII.ext
C:\A\2\fileIII.ext
C:\COPY\
C:\COPY\1\fileI.ext
C:\COPY\2\fileII.ext
- One way would be to copy the whole subfolder structure, and then just delete the files I don't need from the copy. That works, but can be very slow if there are many files that don't need to be copied.
Any Ideas?

Re: Preserve sub-folder structure with copy-to of selected f
This is a great feature of XYplorer since more than 8 years (v3.02.0028 - 2000-02-15 17:17)!
It's called "Rich Copy/Move". Check the help ...

Or alternatively, the wiki at http://88.191.26.34/XYwiki/index.php/Rich_Operationsadmin wrote: It's called "Rich Copy/Move". Check the help ...
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

Damn, another testimony of my inability to promote greatness!TheQwerty wrote:Wow! I never knew about that feature!
It is a unknown bug! Or rather was. Now it's a fixed bug!TheQwerty wrote:Is it a known bug/inability that these items aren't present when you drag to another tab and XY auto-focuses?

Actually, I think that bug kept me from ever finding this feature and my own not reading the help/wiki entirely.admin wrote:Damn, another testimony of my inability to promote greatness!TheQwerty wrote:Wow! I never knew about that feature!![]()

It should be better exposed with that fixed.

Excellent!!Dramastic wrote:It is pretty well hidden, but I am thrilled that XY has the feature.
For me, with this extra info, XY has now gone from a program of interest to practical and useful.
I'm finally off to the registration page..
