Right side of folder/files changed to a different color

Post by raphaelmsx »

Hello people.

I must have pressed some keyboard shortcut, and now the right side of folder/files changed to a different color, and now I don't know how to undo this change. It's just on one specific folder (and its subfolders). It's a subtle color change beginning at the ext column.

What it is anyway, it doesn't seem to affect anything other than this, but I can't be sure.

How to undo it?

Here are the screenshots of the affected display, and the normal one.

Is this ticked?

Configuration | Colors and Styles | Styles | Mirror tree box color in list

Yes, it was ticked. I unticked and the "problem" is gone.

Anyway, what does this do? I couldn't understand. Also, why it was only in that folder?

Thanks!

I assume you accidentally triggered Favorites | Toggle Boxed Branch (Ctrl+Alt+B) on that one folder.

Yes, I just ticked that option again and tested Ctrl+Alt+B.

What does it do anyway?

Hi.

Toggle Boxed Branch: Draws a colored rectangle on the background of the whole branch. Shortcut: Ctrl+Alt+B
Set Box Color: Define the box color for the current tree folder. Enables Boxed Branch for this folder if not yet enabled anyway.

Oh, then the useful application is to set some branch to some different color and then when browsing quickly recognize that folder branch, am I right?

Thanks! ;)

Exactly. I have been using it for some branches for years. Love it.
