Close Tab Icon

Post by phred »

Using 24.30.0100

The icon that appears on each tab to close that tab is rather small. I've found that as I've aged my eye sight is not that great and I can't hit the mark to close the tab unless I try a few times. Making the icon a bit larger would be quite helpful to us old folks.

I've posted this in the Wishes section because I've looked all over and can't find a way to do it. If there is a way, please advise.

Thanks

Just in case it may help: CEA has options for double/middle-clicking on tab = you may set one to Close Tab and no need to target for tab close button at all.

Its size is relative to the font size, so increase tab font size, via config or Ctrl+Wheel over tab.

Thank you both.

While CTRL-WHEEL is an option that works, it (obviously) makes the type on the entire window larger.

I'll play around with creating a custom event and see what I can come up with. A double- or middle-click sounds like ti would work. I've found the CEA section in the manual and will be studying it tomorrow.

Thanks again.

You can make it just adjust Tab font, via

Configuration | Colors and Styles | Fonts | Main Contents | Apply to...

Already have that enabled for tabs with a larger font size. But it doesn't seem to change the size of the icon. Not really a problem at this point as the CEA was a piece of cake to set up. Now I'm just trying to decide whether I want the tab to close with a middle-click or a double. I'm leaning towards middle and I hardly use a middle-click whereas I'm always double-clicking on things. I figure there's less change of closing a tab by accident if it's closed with the middle-click.
