Hallo,
TrackerV has commands "Copy to...", "Move to..." and "Backup to...". Don't you think that you might compete this section whith a new usefull command "Shortcut to..." on the same basis?
Another wish about shortcuts. Windows creates a shortcut for the file AAA.letter.doc in the format:
shortcut to AAA.letter.lnk.
Coud it be possible to cofigurate shortcuts format in TrackerV settings? I mean that I prefer another shortcuts format:
AAA.letter.doc.lnk.
new menu command: "shortcut to..."

Hmm, I don't get it. What operation do you want to happen?Leopoldus wrote:TrackerV has commands "Copy to...", "Move to..." and "Backup to...". Don't you think that you might compete this section whith a new usefull command "Shortcut to..." on the same basis?
This is exactly what happens under my XP! I think you can TweakUI the shortcut file name format...Leopoldus wrote:I mean that I prefer another shortcuts format:

I mean the same logic as with "Copy to...", "Move to..." etc. commands. Namely to create a shortcut to the current file and to put this shortcut into the folder wich is assigned via "Browse..." dialog.
Copy to: creates in the assigned folder a new copy of the current file and leaves the original file;
Move to: creates in the assigned folder a new copy of the current file and erases the original file;
Shortcut to: creates in the assigned folder a new link for the current file and leaves the original file;

Whose pain?admin wrote:Ok, obvious![]()
But is it worth the pain? Any other opinions out there...?
Sounds logical and helpful to me.
Just the name might be misleading since you actually don't want to create a "Shortcut to..." but rather "Create shortcut in..."
