Quick File View

Quick File View, a new feature in the latest version (12.60), suggests windows can be made modeless.
Does it imply floatable windows? I try out the desktop.ini as shown in the example.
The Info panel seems to the be same as previous version, that's , modal.
The product release merely shows how to change the Configuration setting, which I did.
But the product release didn't show how it actually operate/function.
Please help. Thanks.

The Quick File View is a command in menu file and can be called by Ctrl+Shift+Q. Maybe I should mention this in the description?

ADD: I enhanced the text a bit: http://www.xyplorer.com/release_12.60.htm#QFV

Admin Donald,
Very impressive! The product release narrative has already been changed within seconds.
Even the new narrative still took me several minutes to experiment with the feature before realizing Quick File View actually means:
1. displaying the content of the selected file (and one file only);
2. the content of the Quick File View is synchronized with the selected file (and one file only).

By a glance of the original version release [July 8], I thought Quick File View supported: multiple non-modal windows showing content of multiple files. Of course, it's totally my misunderstanding.

Appreciate your quick clarificaiton.
Thank you.

Each time I start xyplorer from scratch, I get blank panes (I have a two pane set-up at the start, with three tabs in each for common folders). I have set up xyplorer to start minimised, but on initial load it never does. After about three of four restarts, it finally starts minimised with files and folders showing in the panes. I have uninstalled and re-installed a couple of times, with a complete clear-out of registry etc., to no avail. Anybody had similar?77

Hi Siamon,
The startup scenario described in your post is rare.
Usually XYplorer remembers the config before the exit/close.
Nonetheless, XYplorer does take unusually longer to load. That's normal.
For configuration, press f9
1. Startup & Exit > Select "Last pane" as Startup pane.
2. Startup & Exit > Select "Last state" as Startup window state.
Hope it helps.
