Got a visual glitch with xy on startup. It's been happening for as long as I can remember, from the last "official" release to the latest betas.

When XY starts, if the last time I quit it it was minimized (I have it set up to minize to an icon in the notification area), it starts minimezed again (that's a feature I think ) but as soon as I restore the windows there's a big blank area under the folder tree, that goes away as soon as I toggle the InfoPanel. No problem if I quit XY with a normal window and then restart it.

I can reproduce this every time:

start XY, set option to minimize to tray.
minimize XY
quit XY from the notification icon context menu
restart XY
XY starts with an icon in the notification area. Click on the icon to restore XY
TADA, big, ugly empty space below the folder tree.

Now that I think of It there's another one that may be related... repeat the above steps to the "restart XY" one. What appens is that an icon for XY is added to the notification area, but a new "window" also appears on the taskbar. Clicking on the icon restores XY and removes the icon from the notification area, but clicking on the thingie in the taskbar instead restores XY without removing the icon.

Hm, cannot reproduce. Could you send me your INI file?

The "can startup minimized feature" is pretty new. I was against it from the beginning and kept that position for years. I only bowed under street pressure recently. Now we have the trouble...

I can reproduce it with the Normal window size set to MAXIMUM size - NOT MAXIMISED. Minimise XY then close it (the minimise to try option appears to be irrelevant). Looks like the catalogue area but with no catalogue. The catalogue is pushed up if it is displayed. Not visible if normal window height is reduced even by only a few pixels! Display is 1024 X 768.

Cannot reproduce the first one (with or without maximised window). Second one is reproducible.

Fixed it. Also the tray + thingie issue.
