Need Help- Delayed (Slow) Start for XYplorer in Windows XP
Posted: 01 May 2013 19:28
Hi All,
I am a registered user of XYplorer, and absolutely LOVE the program (could NOT live without it, at this point!) :-)
Problem is I still have an older, Windows XP (with all latest service packs and updates installed) and just recently my XYplorer program has been delayed (slow to start up) after I click the program icon. :-(
Not sure that I have really changed anything significantly in my system setup or programs- but what will end up happening is I click the program icon to start the program, and nothing happens, so I then click it one or sometimes two additional times and then after a (what seems like long!) delay, two or three instances of the program will finally appear on the screen (1 instance for every time I clicked the program icon).
If anyone has any suggestions for troubleshooting or what else I might try differently, I would greatly appreciate any help of suggestions. :-)
(BTW, I do plan on getting new computer, with Windows 7 or 8 sometime in the near future, but until then, was hoping I could find something helpful to try to "hold me over".)
Thanks so much for any help or suggestions!
Best Wishes,
Brian
