Visual filter size totals in status bar also?

So..now that I've spent a bit of this afternoon playing with Visual Filters, I see that a small change could help even more...

Presently in the status bar (I think that's the proper term), when one has a VF, it shows something like "3 items out of 52"...great!
But...how about the same for the byte totals? Even a percent of total might be enough...so I could see in blue "total: 1.57 MB (1,646,456) = 3.21%" or similar, maybe? 8)

Not possible. I don't keep track of the size of not shown items for performance reasons.

:( I thought that in order to produce the list of filtered items that you would have to go thru all the files in that folder anyway, and thus be able to add up the total, as you do for number of items...and when I toggle the VF on/off, the items lists I have tried it on redisplay instantly so a handful of milliseconds more (if it would take that long) shouldn't be noticable...

Yes, it would mean another total to keep track of, but knowing how much of the total is represented by the filtered items would be quite handy...and I can get the info in some cases by OTHER software, but doing it within XY seems preferable...

Do any other users have any input pro/con? :?:
I'm NOT trying to be arguementative, just trying to add a tweak
