I am running Windows 7 and I have not been able to figure out how to removed 2 network drives I previously mapped but now the other computer doesn't have those drives.

They show up in Xyplorer but I cannot do anything with them. The "disconnect network drive" only can target drives that ARE connected.

Are you in Mini Tree mode?

I'm having the same problem. I recently had to re-map the four virtual drives on my NAS device and doing so four new drive letters were used.

Now I can't seem to get rid of the old drive letters W - Z, they just show up as - Any ideas anyone?

No - normal tree mode.

The remapped network drives show up fine as do all the other drives in my PC and everything is working as it should. Only problem is these residual orphaned drive letters that I can't seem to get rid of. They don't appear in Windows Explorer or Directory Opus just XYplorer - unfortunately my favourite.

Someone suggested using Regedit to look in the registry to see if there is any reference to these old mapped drives. I give that a try.

I see the same drive unavailable icons in Mini-tree mode - though they are external drives.

The next version should fix it (tested for XP only).

I looked in the registry and in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive I found 'Network' which contained a list of mapped drives S to Z. S to V were pointing to the current IP address assigned to the NAS and W to Z to the old address.

I deleted the W to Z keys and they now no longer appear in XYplorer.

OK, now we both fixed it. But I wanted to know if my fix worked before you edited the registry. Did it?

Sorry I had edited the registry before I read your post so I can't help with that I'm afraid.

Perhaps nerweed will be able to test out the new version for you if he/she is still having this problem.

No, it is still visible for me. If it was supposed to fix removed removable drives, it didn't work.

And I forgot to mention earlier, it isn't visible in the Normal Tree, but appears in the mini tree even after I switch it off and on.

Mini Tree is a different story: The Mini Tree keeps unavailable drives by default. You have to remove them manually from the Tree. Use the command "View / Mini Tree / Hide Current Folder" to do this.
