Allright so here's some ideas about Catalog items :

- Could there be like "date params", so every day the destination is different ? (using same pattern as batch rename for example)

- Could there be a way to have an URL sent to XY's preview instead of the default browser?

..then one-click to download the same URL every day (or view it within XY), and works with URL with today's date on !!!!

hmm... how does that sound?

While on the subject, I'm guessing if test if there's a "?" in the destination, and if so use the search icon... that's good, but not when it's a http:// destination though

That sounds like you have a very particular unique jacky-problem and want to exploit XY to solve it.
