I was being curious and checked out the metric consequences.

Currently these are the XY translations. In each case the date is wider than the caption, and all columns need 115 pixels with default settings.

Code: Select all

Created|--|Erstellt
Modified|--|Geändert
Accessed|--|Zugriff
Using the Windows 10 Explorer German for the three columns it's "Änderungsdatum" that makes trouble, not "Letzter Zugriff". "Änderungsdatum" would need 121 pixels (on factory defaults @ 100%) and there would be "..." (ellipses) in the column header IF there is the sort arrow present in that column header. Not a big thing, I could live with that.

Code: Select all

Created|--|Erstelldatum
Modified|--|Änderungsdatum
Accessed|--|Letzter Zugriff
I slightly tend to use the Windows 10 Explorer German... just a feeling that German customers like to see what they are used to... :) (and I must admit that "Zugriff" just does not look like a date column header to me).

That goes to show you never can google! (Chuck Berry said that)
Puhlen & pull are akin.
Krabben puhlen = stripping shrimps.
Puhlen stands for any kind of fussy, fiddly work. Vigilinsch! (Durchaus verwandt mit dem 'stochern - Stochastik'-Wortwitz von oben)
(Epitome of the insanity of western civilization lifestyle is drivin' north sea shrimps down to Morocco to let them women there pull the shrimps out of their vests only to drive them back to Schleswig-Holstein und das ist alles andere als witzig)

The best lyricist of rock n roll is always right. On a trip I found another German usage of "pull":

Which tells me that labor is now cheaper in Morocco than Poland - I saw a documentary once about a village in Poland where they taught them how to "Krabben puhlen" and then did the same insane thing of driving the shrimp from the North Sea to Poland, have them stripped and then drive them back to Germany to be sold as fresh "Krabben-Sandwiches" near the seashore.
While on the subject of insanity, where do German potatoes get washed and packaged these days - it used to be Italy.

I don't have reversing information.
After all the pandemic sparked some consumer sensitivities. But just running election contest is suggestive of outwearing that easily.
