Maybe it's not XY but something in this particular file...but when I pause the playback, and reposition it to an earlier point, it won't restart playing when I hit the space bar..and also when I pause a couple of these WMV files, it also won't restart playing via space bar but sometimes will via drop-down option...

Addendum: Also had a strange occurrance happen while I was trying to "preview/play" these files...at one point, using Shift+space caused a new tab to be opened, and if done again, would open another...have NO idea of exactly what steps I did prior to this wacko behavior, but just thought I'd mention it.

My WMVs all play well. If it's only this one file...

Funny, I did not know this trick!
Here's a short explanation: If the tree has focus, Shift+Key will try to select a node by matching letter; now no folder ever starts with a space, so the selection stays where it is, resp. is reaffirmed, plus Shift is down -> voila Shift+space does "Open [this folder] in new tab". If you press Shift+A and a folder starting with "a" is found, ithat folder will be opened in a new tab. This is not a feature but something that is currently possible. Don't count on it for the future...

OH! So there is a rational explanation of this!
But...given that Shift+space on preview was listed as "Rewind to Start" or similar, having it open a new tab constantly appeared to be a bug..no?

Ah yes, I forgot to mention that part: in your version, Shift+space is only trapped when focus is on the list (! -> stoopid bug that is, or was !). I just changed that to trap it everywhere; however, it only has effect when a medium is running. If not you have your new-tab-trick, aka the "j_c_hallgren-tab-creator".
