quick file creation... pretty cool!

I was playing around, and went to Menu Edit > New > New Files... and typed this

mytextfile.txt
myfolder1/myother.txt
myfolder2/subfolderA/scrip.xys
myfolder2/subfolderB/scrip.xys
myfolder3/

into the form, and it actually worked! :appl:
It fussed a little about the myfolder3/ one, but still created the empty folder. SubfolderA and subfolderB were both put into myfolder2 with no problem.

Pretty cool Don!

Hi'

For those who don't know it already, don't forget this related pretty cool feature.
Check this setting (it's OFF by default):
Tools | Configuration | General | (Renaming) Allow move on rename

and now in the List View, you can:
Right-click > New Text File (or Right-click > New Folder)
and write e.g.:
myfolder2/subfolderB/scrip.xys

It automatically creates the whole hierarchy! :)
& as it name implies, it also works on rename...

That's one of the many things that make XYplorer so powerful!

Have a nice day! 8)

I just removed the fussing.

Code: Select all

+ Menu Edit | New | New Files...: Now creating paths through this
interface is supported. Items with a trailing backslash are
      created as paths.
