Apply button in Configuration?

Post by Pauleduc »

Would it be possible to add an APPLY button to the Configuration dialog?

Right now, after making a change, our only option is to hit OK which will apply the config changes, but also exit the config dialog. With an APPLY button, we can try the changes to see what they look like without exiting the configuration dialog.. and if we need to make further changes, we are still in the config dialog.

This was the subject of MUCH discussion back some time ago and the consensus was the way it's now, as I recall...I vaguely recall that we may have had an APPLY at one point but it caused some other issues so it was removed.

Ok.. well I am new here.. I did search for 'apply' before posting and did not find anything.

Too bad.. I thought it would be very useful to try some settings and immediately see the results.. the way it is now, takes an extra step to close the dialog to see the effects then re-open it again to change it again.

And we appreciate that you did search!

I don't disagree so we need to have Don provide input as to why it won't work.
