Please implement support for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex extensions[
MSDN].
Thanks!

Currently, XY doesn't support HKCR\Directory\Background.
If you want the context menu as defined by HKCR\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers there are a few ways to achieve this.
Please see this thread for more discussion:

There are numerous ways to get that menu though.
- Obviously, right-click on the folder in the tree.
- Right-click the folder's icon in the address bar.
- Set the following INI tweak to 1:
Code: Select all
; Tweak: 0=Edit menu, 1=Folder's shell menu, 2=Favorites, 3=reserved, 4=Tabs
CEA_ListRightClickOnWhite=1
EDIT: Clarification.

I was not aware of CEA_ListRightClickOnWhite.
Thanks!

Can I disable the items
[pre]Restore previous versions
Cut
Copy
Create shortcut
Delete
Rename[/pre]
from the background context menu? or disable their access key?

AFAIK, those are system wide and not accessable to XY...I may be wrong but that's my understanding.

j_c_hallgren is correct.
Why disable them?
