A small bug. I cannot select My Computer (MC) from the new browse button in the find files panel. I can select individual drives but not MC. The OK button is greyed out. But ofcourse i know two other ways to search in MC.

Sorry to bother you with these trivial things, but do consider these points:

1) One has to scroll all the way up.
2) One has to open a tab "My computer" to search something in it. Thats not the case with browse button, it just gives the path to search.
3) Why have you excluded only "My computer"??

PS: Actually i was going to suggest something more, i.e. to have a checkbox kind of thing next to each drive/folder in the browse pop-up window. This way one can include or exclude just by checking or unchecking folders they need for searching. In short: a kind of browse anti-virus softwares use.
(Did you not want everything to be easy yet powerful??)

That could actually be pretty cool yes... (Even though my multi-location searches are usually done in the same places (read: I got a template for that ) or done on full drives, so I go to My Computer and select the drives I wanna search in. Still, could be a nice addition!

but adding it to catalog doesnt help because it would still be the same as in point 2 i.e change your present tab to "My computer". And yes i use templates now. They are cool.

surrender, ever thought of typing it into the location field? It has autocomplete, so you just have to type "m" (if you happen to have a drive M:\ then type "my").

Apart from this: I managed to make MyComputer available from the browse dialog ... but there's a catch: some items (network stuff) are now availabe that are not searchable. Hmmm, not nice.

Oh yes you are right. I almost forgot the auto-complete. Thanks for the tip. and also to make MC available via browse.
