Visual Filter - Allow Folders

Can't remember if I requested this before, but it cropped up again as an issue today.
When I set the visual filter for a tab I lose the ability to then navigate within the folder structure for that tab because the folders are also excluded by the filter.
Any chance of still showing the folders whatever visual filter is applied.
Just allows me to navigate with the filter applied (which would be pretty cool)

.
Thanks

Excellent Idea -- I'll add my vote for this one! (especially if combined with the visual filter per tab ability!)
Good stuff!

hmm.. I'll vote against this one!
I actually like it the way it is, and I for one want folders to be part of the Visual Filters (actually, sometimes they are the only ones Im "filtering"

)
I know it's not the same, but you still have the Tree/Catalog/Favs to navigate

Hmmm.... since everything else is so configurable, maybe this could be an option as well: "Apply visual filters to folder names" or something like that...
Then everyone will be happy and there will be much rejoicing!

Jacky,
Sorry, probably a dumb question, but can you filter just folders
What is the syntax...
Thanks

No I dont think you can filter just folders, sorry for the misunderstanding. What I meant was, the visual filter I'll use is made for me to filter folders, but it will be applied to both files & folders.
I guess it could be possible though, if the syntax we can use for Selection Filter ([Column name]:filter) would work for Visual Filters too... but I have no idea if this is (easilly) doable or not...

Tip: if your folders don't have extensions and all your files have then you can hide all folders by Visual Filter *.*.
