I'm not sure if this a bug or a configuration problem.

A friend of mine is trialling XY and is getting the following error message whenever he starts a search. After you click OK the search proceeds as normal. Is this a SP1 thing?

Looks like for some reason the subfolder "FindTemplates" could not be created. Is your friend maybe testing the app on a CD-ROM?

He is trialling it at his work and running it off a network share. Maybe it's something to do with UNC paths which I think XY does not support.

Are there any plans to support UNC paths in future?

UNC paths are already supported. It might have to do with rights to create a folder on the share.

Yes, you're right again (how do you do that?). It only occurs on the dodgy network drive he was running it from. Probably a permissions thing like you say.
