FP works fine for pictures but not for pdf. The window opens, but I get "no preview available" at the bottom of the window.
full screen preview has the same problems although I seem to remember that it worked previously.
the regular preview works fine.

PDF thumbnails and preview are working fine in WE

When did it stop working? Last beta?

FP for pdf newer worked here just thought it would show up later
also tried with a clean install

Full screen preview (pdf) worked once in earlier versions. maybe several month ago ?

Strange. If you get PDF thumbnails the FP should work.

Try this:
- hide the preview tab (Info Panel)
- open the FP on a PDF.
- then show the preview tab

Attached is what I see: FP and preview tab show the shell preview (=thumbnail) of the PDF.

Does it work when you reduce the size of the FP?

It also might depend on the shell extension responsible for the PDF thumbs. I have PDF-XChange Viewer 2.052 and can see all PDFs in any size without issues (XP SP3).

reinstalled PDF xchange pro 5 (pdfxchange viewer 2.5)

the shell ext seems to be there as you can see in the joined WE screen shot

I repeat myself: Strange. If you get PDF thumbnails the FP should work. Both use the same code. It's logically impossible that one works and the other does not.

No chance then. As advertised: it only works when you get thumbnails in XY.

so, fine for you, xy works as advertised
but how do I get thumbnails and FP

Just to share my experience, I could manage pdf thumbs on my 64-bit os only with adobe reader. Foxitreader or pdfxchange don't seem to work.
