Could "catalog" work as a tray?

Hi,

Could "catalog" work as a tray?

I mean, by providing a kind of virtual area in which everything put inside is like a mirror of the original files.

The usage: looking around different folders I want to make a file selection to work in some application after. I don't want copy or create new files, but just to make them available to usage. After that I will delete the files in the "tray" and the original ones should be maintained in their origin folders.

Thanks in advance!

In the Roadmap, that may likely be within the scope of this item:
Virtual Folders (VFO), resp. Virtual Tabs™ (VTB) [Pro Version Only]

Roadmap means it should be expected in future XYplorer release, is it?

Any idea whether it is expected to be implemented soon?

=> As a provisory way to deal with I set a label as "tray" and "find by label" works great to join all files labelled. Anyway, Virtual Folders (VFO), resp. Virtual Tabs™ (VTB) [Pro Version Only] will be a great improvement...

You've read what it says in Roadmap post, right?

Nothing there is to be guaranteed to be in a future release nor is there ever any timeframe given.
