Hi,
just wan't to know is it possible to compare two folders with XYplorer. Can't find the corresponing menu entry. Maybe someone has a solution with the script engine of XYplorer.
Winmerge does a good job. But maybe there is no need to use Winmerge if XYplorer can do the same?

Hi and Welcome,
XY does have a way to compare two panes. The menu entry you are looking for is menu Panes>Sync select.
Look up Sync Select in XY's help for more info.

You can use Windows CL capabilities, if it fits your needs. The command fc is the answer.
Comparing two folders bit-wise is
Code: Select all
fc /b first_folder\* second_folder\*
fc /b second_folder\* first_folder\*

Hi and welcome to the XY forums!
If you want to use Winmerge, suggest you look at this thread:

The listed command is in Help file as example but it's a bit clearer in context here.
