Hi,
I am brand new to this program, it looks great. But I can't find info on this:
I would like to copy a file, say cover.jpg, to say 30 different folders in one go.
Is this possible? And with a possibilty of declining overwriting.
Cheers
---Hank

Re: Copy file to multiple folders
Not possible currently. Interesting if rare task though. Never wished up to now.
Do you regularly have to copy items to those 30 folders? (I'm thinking about the possibility of adding "target farms" to the Catalog...)

Hi, Thanks for the swift reply.
No, it's actually different folders and different number of folders all the time. Maybe I have to live with doing it manually. Maybe a drag and drop setup with the target folders in one of the windows...I will fiddle around with it. Please, if you see a nice shortcut...you will let me know?
Thanks

Well, it's hard to automate something that changes all the timeHankD wrote:No, it's actually different folders and different number of folders all the time. Maybe I have to live with doing it manually.
In future it will be easier: I plan to add batch/command capability to the catalog! For example, you could add a batch item "Copy <yourfile> to [current folder]" or "Copy [current file] to <target folder>" where <> is part of the item configuration, and [] is determined by the current tree/list selection state. But that won't be tomorrow...
