Playing around with the catalog: great.
While playing i noticed that tabs opened with shift-click always open after the last tab. Maybe you can implement a choice (in configuration?) to open the (new) tab next to the current one.

Well, after the catalog is finished :)

You make that many tabs?

Yes, i have a default of 8 tabs, every tab has it's own home folder.
Why not use tabs in a tabbed file manager :)

8's not bad, I asked how often you *make* tabs... if you don't make new ones often, it doesn't matter too much where it is or if you have to drag it....

Oops, I misread your question. I do make a lot of tabs though. I use the 8 "default" tabs just in their home folder and open other folders from there using shift-click.
Well it's just how I work with XYplorer.

I can, but I try to avoid an option overkill. Do you know of this feature in other tabbed apps?

Yes, I use it this function in Maxthon browser:

Firefox opens tabs in the next tab, and there are extensions with an option to open at the end.

Code: Select all

+ Configuration/Advanced: added "Open new tab next to current".
Great, many thanks :)
